In the past 8 years, I have been working with students with autism spectrum disorder. I have helped them become independent and use helpful tools that help them in their everyday lives.
Since knowing teaching is my passion. I have student taught in two diverse classroom settings. The program focus development on receptive and expressive language skills, listening skills, and self-advocacy skills with emphasis on the use of residual hearing and hearing technology such as bone anchored hearing aids, digital hearing aids, and cochlear implants. Which also included additional support services include Audiology. (2) I was then placed in a Learning Center were I worked with students in small groups, large groups, and individuals in a variety of settings. Were I consistently and effectively supported general education teachers with implementing accommodations and modifications, tracking data on goals and behaviors, consulting with service providers and teachers, preparing and presenting IEPs.
